*New Poster and Magazine Drafts*
These are my two new drafts I've created due to a change in idea. The theme has stayed the same but my story around the trailer has changed. This was due to actors dropping out and requiring myself to find new actors/actresses.
My magazine cover still could do with some changes such has original main image and colours. Once I have the main images, I could then end up changing the complete cover, It depends on how my images will look using these colours.
The poster has been completely changed as my original poster was based around my college themed idea. This new poster includes a new title with a new slogan and actors names. Although this draft and my previous draft look similar, this draft I believe, could be a final. There are still some simple tweaks needed for the poster such as errors in the credits and original main images.

Movie Poster
This is my final trailer poster where I have placed my images of my actresses
My main strength in this poster is the gradient blend I have created to blend the main image into the background. This was created by creating a mask layer over the original layer and then using the gradient tool and adjusting the gradient to my image.
As you can see, I have used all the main conventions such has Release Date, Main image etc but the gradient effect I have used on all items in this poster. This is a convention that I have taken on board and isn't a convention I followed. The gradient effect was put into place because it give you a insight into the characters hidden side. I used the gradient to show that the characters have a side which isn't portrayed when looking at their image. My magazine front cover using the same effect and reveals an image behind. This was where I came up with my slogan, 'not just pretty faces' as the characters are not just what they look like
Magazine Front Cover

In my magazine front cover I decided to follow the typical conventions and use the masthead, cover lines, price and barcode etc as these are the main features of a magazine front cover. With me using these, I also used some conventions of my own such as the gradient tool. This is a tool I have used frequently throughout this work as it has made my work look more professional. When adding in my final main images into the poster on photoshop, I kept the original layers and placed my final image over the top. When using the gradient effect I forgot I had the original background image behind. This then showed behind when the gradient was put into effect. I chose to keep this as it shows that the characters have a hidden side that isn't portrayed. Although the image behind is just a picture I took when visiting New York. I kept it due to looking like a hidden side that isn't portrayed via their faces or looks
