Initial Comedy Trailer Ideas.
Idea 1: Start off with a news report of an unrealistic crime or something silly occurring locally. This news report will include the descriptions of the criminals and then the camera will pan onto the sofa, showing these criminals doing something funny/silly. Either eating on the sofa or something. It will then jump to the film title and then include shots of them
Idea 2: Have an establishing shot of an area/city and then onto two characters acting cocky/silly walking down the street. This can then change shot onto them in their work place discussing a top secret crime.
Idea 1:

Storyboard
In Shot 1, I am looking at just a still shot of the words 'Breaking News' This will be presented with a News soundtrack and will be followed with Shot 2. Shot 2 will be a Medium Shot of News Reporter reporting the crime, Saying 'A Burglary has taken place today..' This will be at Eye Level and filmed possible on a green screen or plain wall. This will cut into Shot 3 which is a Closer Medium Shot of the news reporter mentioning '2 girls were caught breaking into a house close to...' This is where the reporter points at the TV screen which shows some Still CCTV shots of the crime taking place. This will then fade into Shot 4 where the News Reporter will broadcast some CCTV footage of the crime and possible mention in some unplanned dialogue the events occurring. Cutting into Shot 5, the news reporter will show 2 still CCTV shots of the criminals, explaining the identity of these criminals. This will be presented in an Eye Level, Medium Shot.
Cutting into Shot 6, It will be a Close Up Eye Level shot of the reporter explaining these criminals are dangerous and to report to the police if seen. Carrying on the news report, Fading into Shot 7 This will feature both Criminals Named 'Jenny & Paula' Sitting on the sofa watching this News Broadcast. This is a Medium shot at either Low or Eye Level. Cutting into Shot 8. Jenny will say to Paula 'Oh Paula, Thats us on TV' This is a Closer Medium Shot at Eye Level. Using a Cut, Shot 9 will Show Jenny & Paula Starting to plan their Burglary. It will show Both on a Computer looking at costumes they can wear. The shots used will be either a Medium Shot or an Over the Shoulder shot at an Eye Level. This may feature dialogue which is unplanned but it will feature a soundtrack which will feature across the following Shots. Cutting into Shot 10, This will be an Over the Shoulder High Level shot of Paula on her Phone looking on Maps at a Location with open grounds. The audio in this shot will be the Soundtrack carrying on from the previous shot but it may also feature some general sound effects or some unplanned dialogue.
Using a Cut, Shot 11 will use a Medium Shot of Jenny planning a get away car at Eye Level. This will have the soundtrack following over from the previous shots and may feature some dialogue. Cutting into Shot 12, This will use a Medium Shot at Eye Level of Jenny & Paula getting into the Get away car. This will possible feature some kind of trip or fall over. Again, the soundtrack will continue. Continuing into Shot 13 using a Cut, Both will arrive at their location using a Medium shot at Low Level. This shot could feature a fall over of some sort. Again the soundtrack will feature and some possible dialogue and sound effects may occur. Cutting into Shot 14. This will use a Long shot at a High Level to look like CCTV of those inside the house. The same sound track will feature and some dialogue also. Cutting into Shot 15. This is again a Long shot High Level CCTV Shot of Jenny Hitting the CCTV camera in the corner which will then cause the soundtrack to cut out, ending the trailer.

*New Poster and Magazine Drafts*
These are my two new drafts I've created due to a change in idea. The theme has stayed the same but my story around the trailer has changed. This was due to actors dropping out and requiring myself to find new actors/actresses.
My magazine cover still could do with some changes such has original main image and colours. Once I have the main images, I could then end up changing the complete cover, It depends on how my images will look using these colours.
The poster has been completely changed as my original poster was based around my college themed idea. This new poster includes a new title with a new slogan and actors names. Although this draft and my previous draft look similar, this draft I believe, could be a final. There are still some simple tweaks needed for the poster such as errors in the credits and original main images.

Movie Poster
This is my final trailer poster where I have placed my images of my actresses
My main strength in this poster is the gradient blend I have created to blend the main image into the background. This was created by creating a mask layer over the original layer and then using the gradient tool and adjusting the gradient to my image.
As you can see, I have used all the main conventions such has Release Date, Main image etc but the gradient effect I have used on all items in this poster. This is a convention that I have taken on board and isn't a convention I followed. The gradient effect was put into place because it give you a insight into the characters hidden side. I used the gradient to show that the characters have a side which isn't portrayed when looking at their image. My magazine front cover using the same effect and reveals an image behind. This was where I came up with my slogan, 'not just pretty faces' as the characters are not just what they look like
Magazine Front Cover

In my magazine front cover I decided to follow the typical conventions and use the masthead, cover lines, price and barcode etc as these are the main features of a magazine front cover. With me using these, I also used some conventions of my own such as the gradient tool. This is a tool I have used frequently throughout this work as it has made my work look more professional. When adding in my final main images into the poster on photoshop, I kept the original layers and placed my final image over the top. When using the gradient effect I forgot I had the original background image behind. This then showed behind when the gradient was put into effect. I chose to keep this as it shows that the characters have a hidden side that isn't portrayed. Although the image behind is just a picture I took when visiting New York. I kept it due to looking like a hidden side that isn't portrayed via their faces or looks
